- Technical & Reading Logs: IP address, browser type, operating system, device category (Desktop / Mobile / Tablet), and reading timestamps for DRM security and watermarking.
- Payment Information: All payment transactions (credit/debit cards, payment gateways) are handled directly by PCI-DSS certified payment processors (e.g., Omise). BookBuffet does NOT store raw credit card numbers or CVV codes on our servers.
2. How We Use Information
Your information is utilized solely for:
- Enabling account authentication and managing trial/subscription duration.
- Generating dynamic security watermarks on reader pages to deter piracy.
- Detecting fraudulent activity and monitoring service availability.
- Customer service communications regarding your membership status.
